January 13, 2017 - Congressman Doyle participates in Department of Defense annoucnement of more than $250 million in funding for launching an Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute in Pittsburgh. The Institute will bepart of the federal Manufacturing USA initiative. The Insitute will work to promote US competitiveness in robotics and manufacturing. The American Robotics Inc., a nonprofit spin-off of Carnegie Mellon University, will operate the facility,

April 26, 2017 - Congressman Doyle speaks at a press conference calling for permanently protecting retired coal miners' pensions.and health benefits in the wake of multiple coal company bankruptcies and the imminent insolvency of the funds that pay those benefits.

July 12, 2017 - Congressman Doyle joined a number of Senators and Members of Congress at a press conference outside the US Capitol to highlight the importance of preserving Net Neutrality. July 12 was a National Day of Action on Net Neutrality. The FCC under President Trump has called for overturning the 2015 Open Internet Order that protected Net Neutrality by prohibiting Internet Service Providers (ISPs) from throttling, censoring, or charging more for certain internet data.
